The stores don't have demo units yet. The corporate store at HQ (1 Infinite Loop) doesn't have demo units yet. It'll be a while.

Well, I was just in the Apple Corporate Store at 1 Infinite Loop. No sign of any activity or upcoming activity. Heck, they didn't even have iSights on hand. No G5 desktop demo model, either.

Mine shipped today. However, I paid for expedited (2nd-day) shipping, but they shipped it FedEx Ground. I'm going to call them tomorrow and rip them a new one. It's little things like this that erode the customer base.

Impression: I'm very disappointed that an updated 15" Powerbook was not even *mentioned*. I don't care if it's not available today -- the new G5s aren't even shipping until August -- but throw us a bone!
