I'm fairly sure things have changed since that post. In any rate, the new iMac should be safe because it shares the same audio technology as the G4 towers now that it outputs to the pro speakers. -S

The iSub will work with any USB mac out now, including the new iMac. This thread belongs in "Current Hardware." -S

Maybe to potentially large clients behind closed doors. But who knows if Apple's even been given 970's stable enough to put together a demo at this point. They've learned their lessons from the past - no way will they pre-announce such a product 2…

When the G5, or whatever they'll call it, does come out ... it won't be as large a jump as you think. The G4 is going to continue to scale until the G5 introduction, and while the architecture will have vast improvements it's not going to be "twice…

Maybe they realized that because the Apple Store charges tax, it was cheaper to go through a reseller even WITH the edu discounts. Of course, my 667 just arrived yesterday from Amazon to the tune of $2444 plus a nifty $100 gift certificate for futu…

According to my in-depth analysis (see below), you might as well get one now if you can use it, take advantage of some good deals like the $100 Amazon rebates/free shipping. That's my plan in about a week or so. I'm on a 500MHz Ti right now and…
