I think it depends on the window. For regular windows it just drops down from the bottom of the title bar, whereas for metal windows it comes out of a kinda slot graphic and then drops down. Neil. a.k.a. Arnel

I just had a look, and I'm really surprised that comments don't appear in the preview in column mode. Isn't that almost the perfect place to be showing them??? Weird. 10.4 maybe, huh? Neil a.k.a. Arnel

I did have one use for labels about a year ago, when I was (briefly) doing some contract work. I had a directory with all of my invoices in, and I labelled them red for unpaid, and then green once I'd received the money. It made it nice and easy to …

I have a feeling the thing that has gotten everyone into a tizzy is that Burnable Folders are a combination of two things - a playlist-like list of files, and a way of burning a conceptual folder directly from that folder. Some people are saying "wh…

I think something is busted. Looking for Sarah McLachlan on the UK store showed only two albums but spread over the page like others were there but invisible, and those were missing any actual tracks. Oooops!

I'm not sure if you can do this in older versions of Safari, but in the version I'm using (1.2.3) you can Command-Double-Click on a bookmark in your bookmarks folder and it will open that bookmark in another tab. That tab opens behind the current ta…

Quote: Originally posted by Rhumgod Yes, that is for Cinema displays. I think the iMac VESA Mount (read the page it says MOUNT) will be a mounting kit. It's just a VESA mounting plate for the back of the iMac, which will attach to a VESA arm…

Erm... maybe they updated it or something, but straight from that article: Quote: And it's been a long time since floppy disks were even floppy. They used to come in a bendable plastic casing and were 5.25 inches wide, but Apple Computer Inc. pion…

Now I'm curious about that dual swing-arm patent of Apple's that came to light recently. Could they have a VESA mount of their own in the wings? People say the arm was one of the most expensive parts of the previous iMac, so maybe they made it optio…

Actually, the dock menu is just doing what it does with every app - it's reporting the window titles. If you look in the title bar, you'll see that there's a page count in parenthesis there as well. Neil a.k.a. Arnel
