I wonder when AT&T will announce plan pricing. Has anyone seen anything about this? A point that's confusng for me is what this phone is classified as. I see that Cingular currently lists unlimited data for smartphones for 19.99 per month, but …

I have no idea what you're talking about but the displays come with a standard DVI connector.

I've been using 2 external drives from Other World Computing for about a year and have had no issues. The Mercury Elite Pros are great, and my son bought one of their Neptune drives and has had good luck with it too.

One of the things that I really don't like about Verizon though is their insistence on changing the interfaces and crippling some of the phones' features. It's all greed.

That's interesting. My experience has been the opposite. I've owned Macs and used pthers professionally since the Mac Classic, and have only ever had a problem with one, which Apple fixed under Applecare with no problems. With regard to the "too e…

In the past 6 months, I have 2 friends that have purchased MacBooks, 2 that have bought MacBook Pros and I bought an MBP about 2 months ago. Not a single problem with any of them so far. I think that most of the posts you see online are about prob…

Super Duper is easy to use, works well, is inexpensive, and can be used to do scheduled backups as well.

If you really NEED one as opposed to WANTING one, then buy now. If you can wait for something that hasn't even entered the rumor zone, then you obviously don't need it that badly. As it has been since the personal computer age began, you can wait …

I second the Canopus suggestion. They work very well. Or you could buy an inexpensive digital camcorder that has pass-thru and play your current tapes through that and then into the computer.

My partner and are doing 3d realtime sims on MacBook Pros with the x1600, 256 mb. We are getting very good frame rates and expect when Leopard comes out, that we should be getting even better peformance because of anticipated OpenGL improvements. …

I must be really dense. Why do you want it detachable? It's analogous to a standard Wacom vs. a Cintiq. All things being equal, why would you want to draw on a surface that is removed from your interface, when you could draw directly on it? I wo…

Why would you want a separate track pad when you can just use your finger right on the display?

There's an article over on Wired News that's touting the SIM approach for the iPhone. http://www.wired.com/news/columns/0,...tw=wn_index_14

I can't understand people buying so close to a Macworld and then complaining because something new came out. Trusting rumors is not a very good basis for a purchase decision. Plus, doesn't the machine still do what you originally bought it fo…
