I was seriously looking at the maxed out 13 air when it came out. Would like to have a bit more storage space than the air would afford. Hoping the 2012 macbook pro will have discrete graphics, quad core and the dual ssd/hd setup. Keep it slim a…

Looking to upgrade my original unibody macbook pro 15 2.4 ghz sometime in 2012 so this would be perfect. Hoping for dual drive capacity if they drop the optical drive. 256 SSD and 1 TB HHD would be a dream. I wonder what the chances are they in…

Thank god I didn't auction my Macbook Pro. I knew there was going to be no case redesign but I did think the trackpad would be upgraded. Guess not. Mike

I doubt is has to do with heat b/c of the fact those are the cool areas of the laptop. Because only a select number of people seem to be having the problem it must have something to do with the composition of their sweat. Maybe the pH? Some people …

I found the macbook to be blazing fast but I am coming from a g4 12" powerbook. I liked the keyboard and screen too. I think you have to applaud apple for putting so much value in their "low end" laptop. But instead everybody whines about the scr…

There are already a few ways around this protection scheme. I have read of a HDMI to DVI converter with allows HDCP content on non-hdmi monitors. They are wasting there time on trying to implement encryption to combat piracy... too many smart 14 y…

When will people get that the dual core chip is too expensive for the ibook line?

The mini sucks for apple because it stays in such good shape. I have had one for 1.5 years and the thing looks brand new. Every nano I have seen looks like it has been thru a war. Apple needs these things to be replaced every year and they do tha…

There is no conspiracy here. The powerbook line was so due for an update and selling so poorly it had to be updated. The 12 inch and 17 inch models are less important because they sell less. The iMac also sells like crazy and therefore was updated …

Actually the FW-1884 can have up to 18 inputs including the 8 built in mic pres. Using the two digital inputs, the coax and lightpipe its possible to attach 10 more mic preamps. I have my focusrite 428 connected to the lightpipe and regularly record…

I'll just start by saying that I haven't owned an Mac since my LC in high school but the G5, OSx and the mini ipod have be thinking about switching back. I think the Ipod mini actually competes well with the PC based products, is well priced and …
