I can't handle this! I've got a bloody assessment at uni from 4.30pm til 5.45pm tomorrow - the keynote starts at 5! Then I need to go to a friend's for dinner. Help!

Thanks for the help. I've read a couple of chapters of the python stuff, and got the Programming in Cocoa for OSX book, which looks quite good. Just wondering though - I would be quiet interested in making a dashboard widget - does this really me…

Thanks for all of the replies guys. Thus far I have been reading the how to think like a programmer using python guide. Whilst I don't intend to really learn python, it is a useful reminder I guess. So in short, I should be using XCode to make Co…

Ok dokey, thanks for the help guys. So the general consesus is that I should read the 8 chapters, dabble in Python, and then figure out Objective C? Having never used xCode before - it looks a bit daunting now that I have just installed a 2Gb fol…

Quote: I felt compelled to write this post as I think a lot of people are missing the bigger picture with regard to this products name. iThink someone needs the iPod phone to have auto text formatting to insert apostrophes where they are missed?

I think that under the rules, it would be possible to use hosting space somewhere else, so long as that was available freely. That's my understanding anyway.

I've not heard of any overheating issues on the current crop of iMacs, but not being an iMac owner, I can't really comment. There were a lot of rumblings round here about heat in early MacBook Pros, but I didn't notice much about iMacs. Have a q…

Lovely. I'm living in Glasgow until the summer, and then moving back to Edinburgh. Postively spoilt for choice. Good work Apple! I might be attending some opening days looking for a few bargains! What are the deals normally like?

Maybe it is just a green move? A new iSight would keep those green campaigners happy and allow them to sell it in Europe too. Not saying that we won't see it in Cinema Displays, just that we might ALSO see a replacement iSight for older users.

The only problem I can see is with 1, and I don't know enough about this to comment. Internet is just dandy for mac users, MS Office will work perfectly on OSX, and Handbrake or Drive-In will satsify your DVD needs.

Whilst we're on the subject - isn't it about time the whole Apple range had superdrives?! I work in a store that sells computers and laptops amongst other things, and even the £349 laptops have DVD burners! Come on Apple- stick a superdrive in the …

Oops, double post

The current mini is definitely a bit weedie. 120Gb and 1Gb RAM in the top model would be great. Thankfully I'm not looking to upgrade until the summer, so these upgrades are a fairly safe bet for then. *Crosses Fingers*

Couldn't comment on your setup, but just stick it on eBay and see what happens. I wouldn't recommend the MacBook Pro for your situation, but a MacBook or an iMac would be a good bet. Optionally, you could always keep the monitor and buy a mac …

A fortnight? That's not too bad. A store I work for offers until the 14th, but since there is no need for Apple to offer 'til the 7th at all, I'd still say that they are being fairly nice.

'Get Info' an any of the files whilst in the finder. Under the 'Open With' option, there is an option to change the program for all files of that type
