I haven't had a single issue; not at Whole Foods, not at Walgreen, not at Staples. I haven't tried at McDs mostly because I try not to eat there. If they're advertised as taking Apple Pay, it just works. That is my experience, ymmv.

MacBooks, MacBook Pros and Minis all have the affected drives installed. I have a Mini CD 1.83 with one of the 'afflicted' drives. It has had minor data corruption issues since the day I bought it. I have a Mini C2D 1.83 with an Hitachi 80 GB dri…

I agree with the font issue - sounds like you have a font (or several) that are fine on 9 but causing issues in 10.3. I have 10.3.3 at home on a Dual G4/450, with the full Adobe CS suite and it makes PDFs flawlessly that print both on my Apple La…

Cool - I'm glad it was that easy!

Have you added any new hardware? Some PCI cards aren't compatible with sleep...

I cannot believe that the minor drop, in a case, caused this problem. So call them on the phone. Do not mention the drop. If the tech will not help, get his manager. And so on. Good luck.

Quote: Originally posted by staphbaby Oh, and based on the info re. U-brackets, I'm working on a Rev.2 Yep, me too. But both my hard drives (30 + 80 GB) are on a SIIG Ultra ATA 100/133 pci card.

You totally want a rev 2. Rev.1 B&Ws don't support master/slave drives on the hd bus. Rev 2s come with a U-bracket to mount them and a master/slave cable to connect them. Rev 1s have data corruption problems on drives larger than 12 G…

Is this the driver you used? People have good results with it.... http://wirelessdriver.sourceforge.net/download.html

I had an unpartitioned 40 GB Seagate attached to an Acard 6260 as my boot drive on my beige G3/300 as the boot drive. No problems at all.

Why did you pay $30 for something that comes with Panther? The paid version is for those who didn't upgrade from Jaguar. Use Pacifist. Click "Open Mac OS X Install Packages". Insert the cds as requested. When it finishes, open "Contents of Essent…

Any old Mac power cord will work just fine. I did that for an iMac SL 350 I fixed and gave to my bro & sis-in-law for Christmas. Second, here's the Apple Service Manual for that model - it shows how to replace and repair everything on the mac…

I'm voting for the 1400c. GREAT keyboard, processor upgrades, sleep-swappable 6x, 8x or 12x cd-rom and floppy (and zip and MO aftermarket) modules, stackable RAM. It runs 9.1 well on 64 MB RAM (max, unfortunately) and an ORiNOCO Gold wireless PC…
