I put mine on the floor, but only because the desk can't support the weight. Also, it is the floor in the family room, not the room where my PC is located. I want to show it off, and I even placed it where I can remove the cover to show the insi…

Okay, another question. Last night I was using Final Cut Express, and I wanted to import a sound track. I know there are two types, AIFF (uncompressed) and AAC (compressed). When I tried to import the AIFF format, it didn't copy it, but made a li…

Can someone tell me whether it is worth it for a new Mac user to sign up to .Mac? I only see virus protection as something I'd use, and even then, it doesn't seem too important because Macs have few viruses. I already have e-mail through my ISP,…

It is good to know the programs can do this, now I just have to remember what keys to use.

Okay, another dumb question (or more): Why can't I use the "home" and "end" keys like my PC? If I want to jump around in text, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Also, I can't jump from word to work by holding down the "open apple" k…

Yeah, but why the dock and not just the red circle? What is the difference? Do you lose the contents of the window with the red circle but not with the orange?

Okay, another dumb question: I think I understand the little red circle means "minimize", the green cicle means "fit visible", and what is the orange circle for? It just minimizes it to a different area of the bar on the bottom. Why?

Wow, unpacked my G5 last night. Plugged in the network cable, and it worked. Bing! First try, no configuration, nothing! On a related note, you should have seen my wife (who is not too computer literate) when she opened Sherlock for the first …

These are perfect ideas. I've also used clips from upcoming Pixar movies as entertainment for the kids. They really liked the Monsters Inc. trailer once they got over the fact that there could be monsters in your closet.

Remember, your ship date says "on or before x/x/03". My 1.8 shipped two weeks before my estimated date. Give them a chance.

Sorry for the confusion, it shipped on 8/26/03. It wasn't scheduled to ship until 9/9/03. Fed Ex hasn't given an estimated delivery date yet. In other words, it is EARLY!

Alright, you convinced me. I purchased the JBL Creatures last night. Should look great next to my G5 when it comes.

Personally, I'm a big fan of mind reading.

Everyone knows it's your soul flowing through the ether. Forget all that electronics garbage. Apple engineering is magical.

I have other Klipsch speakers, and they are top-notch, high quality, and VERY good sounding speakers. The trouble is, unless you are willing to pay $180, you have to buy refurbished speakers. Of course, they don't look as nice as the Creature spea…
