Isn't it 512k full speed cache? And I wouldn't worry that much about the L3 cache missing.

They are delaying all CTOs for order. I placed an order for a 1.8 with a 9600 and it got pushed back 2 weeks. If you don't need it and don't really want to wait longer don't get it.
