For what it's worth... Installed the combo update on an 20" iMac and PowerBook G4. Zero problems. As usual. Carry on.

Well, it's a damn shame! I always enjoyed Steve Jobs' keynotes - the guy really is excellent to watch on stage. And getting Phil Schiller to do the last one? Wow, can you imagine what the crowd is gonna be like? Still, there's always those "S…

The way to get around this is to use iTunes gift cards for the country you need. Search around online and you'll find plenty of places that sell US, UK, Japanese and other iTunes gift cards. Once you have the card, go to the store you want and…

Somewhat back on topic... I've always heard that liquid cooling is somehow noisier than regular heat sinks and whatnot. Can someone confirm or deny this? The only real-life example of a liquid cooled device I've owned was a Dreamcast, and it w…

What's up with the recent influx of posters who all love to add some kind of little disclaimer like: "You know I'm the biggest MAC fan around and I love my I-PHONE but you know Apple is really lame yada yada yada."? I mean really, no one gives…

You can get Prey to display in widescreen by messing around with the .cfg file: ~/Library/Application Support/Prey Demo/base/preyconfig.cfg and add/change seta r_customHeight "1050" (or height you want) seta r_customWidth "1680" (or width …

That review is absolutely hilarious! He cites the general UI as an exercise in frustration. He's not impressed with the pressure sensitive touch screen either, which he implies is almost unusable for typing. I've used a couple of other touch s…

If they're both demos then it's the PPC versions. If you want some FPS demos which have native intel versions, then check out either Call Of Duty 2, Prey or Quake 4: http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=19203 http://www.macgamefiles.co…
