Fran .... 4 month old dual 1 ghz G4 tower. "Customer Service" refuses to allow one to talk to anyone higher up. Crap service as far as I'm concerned.
-
At least they fixed it. My dual G4 tower has been in for repairs 2 weeks and Apple claims they can't find the needed part.
-
Worth It? I have had a computer in for service for 2 weeks and Apple can't find the part needed to fix it. They will not offer to replace it , provide a loaner or say when they will ever repair it. I paid for AppleCare but it has been a waste in …

Fran, interesting observation from MWNY. Any guess on timeframe? Also, are you hinting at a Kormac type v2 product?

[quote] All is NOT going according to plan. Sales of the bluetooth adapter have stopped. NOT a good sign. So, Fran, I think Apple has the d-link bluetooth adapter back. Are things better?
-
So Fran, why would the bluetooth connection be better than 802.11? I understand the need for an adapter for every computer to work with the new device. Is there another reason? Would the delay in the adapter delay the new device? I would assume …

Perhaps a component design. A pod that works independently while undocked and when docked becomes part of a system wtih cd/dvd drive larger harddrive, monitor, and keyboard.

QuickTime 6. It's interesting that Apple would not have the license issue dealt with if QT 6 is such an important portion of 10.2. In fact rumors are that this is the major hold up off the release. It seems like the other players in the industr…

It is all marketing. Bill Gates on the Today show pushing tablet PC's. The issue is innovation not speed. Isn't Apple going to innovate their way out of the industry slowdown. Try the Compaq TC1000 for innovation that will get consumer attention.
-
Maybe you were all thinking about the Compaq TC1000. tc1000 It costs more than a PDA but seems to be price in a reasonable notebook range. Did Apple miss out again?

Maybe what we are seeing, in the view at the left, is just a cover for the screen. I think some of us are thinking there is a keyboard with a display that can be totally flipped over. Perhaps there is no keyboard. This could explain why the hinge l…

What's that little "bump" on the right side? A defect in the image?

Most likely, he is only making the point that bluetooth is everywhere and it is expanding to many products. You will see it on some product you use, soon, since it is everywhere.

Okay, the D-Link bluetooth adapter is being sold again. 10.2 with bluetooth and inkwell coming next month. Are all the parts in place for the next digital hub device? [ 07-19-2002: Message edited by: allen ]

Kormac, you're back? What's the word? Will we see something interesting (i****) at MWNY?

Perhaps something like the vPen

It is interesting that no one else has reported an "event". Wonder what Jobs plans to say in his interviews if that part of the story is true. [ 06-03-2002: Message edited by: allen ]

Does anyone know the time of this event?
