I just tried connecting my work MacBook Air to the 2.Ghz network and it worked. So for some reason the problem only has to do with my Mac Mini.

I tried troubleshooting the freezing problem with Apple support years ago and we couldn't figure out the problem. I eventually gave up. I'm thinking the only way to solve the problem is to get a new Mac, hopefully not too long in the future.

Marvin, thanks for your thoughts. I don't think problem is with file size. The quicktime movie was really short and actually slightly less than 1meg.
