Stay away from Adwarealert. It's a program which exaggerates problems in order to make you buy. I can provide a link for you to look at more of this fake product.

i dont use mac so i dont know, but for ur needs i surfed and find out that openoffice.org which is free and supports word docs and u can create edit word docs and it supports for mac 10.4 or higher

as far as i know there is no software like this for mac , but there is a very good one for windows called "denise" from guile3d studio. it can be used with a virtual machine in a mac.
