  • I go to a lot of electronic retail environments as part of my work, and I have heard the Creatures vs. Soundsticks vs. Champagne speakers side by side. I'd have to say the Champagne sounds the best (though they look ugly imo - looks like a two ho…

  • Patchouli, I'd be interested to know the Dell model 17" LCD which is the same as the Apple one , could you provide a link? Also, is it DVI? If so, then great cause I'm looking to get a TiBook (when a new one comes out, not going to pay these heino…
  • I'm hoping to find someone in Toronto who has done this upgrade. I'm willing to take the chance with my iBook on this.
  • Why would you want such a dinky computer? Are you a midget or something?

  • Would like to see 867 and 1 ghz eMacs, after the surprise 1 ghz of the Powerbook, going 933 mhz would seem like a cop-out. Time to get out of the sub-ghz basement.

  • [quote]Originally posted by FlashGordon: On a slightly different note. I personally think Apple should change the current 17 inch display to the 17 inch display on the 17inch iMac and go to an all widescreen format. I don't. Web pages are easi…

  • Matsu, I agree, the price/performance ratio on the TiBooks is not attractive enough for me at this point to purchase a TiBook. Hence my waiting for a new machine in hopes that Apple realizes that their current top of the line laptop falls well out …
  • Murbot, I have to admit, I haven't been too good at holding on to my computers the last couple of times. Used to be every 3 years I got a new computer, my iBook that was just sold lasted just under a year. My previous machine, the Piss-mo 400, las…

  • [quote]Originally posted by Kickaha: Of course, I'm using it on a Pismo 400MHz, and find it just fine for my work... Needs vary. My need is for my computer not to run like a 100 mhz Pentium. Of course, there are lots of people out there …
  • Take it from an ex-iBook owner (just sold it yesterday), even Jaguar is unbearable on it (at least on my 500 mhz w/66 mhz bus). Anything less than a G4 imo is pointless at this point.
  • Wow, lots of great replies! Oh well, even if it take this baby a little while longer to come out of the oven, at least we're having some fun in the meantime Power Apple - I'd be curious to know, how do you find working without Waves Platinum …
