i'm on a g4 1.5ghz powerbook, and i'm less than impressed with the fluidity of 720p playback. quite choppy at any size.

but you have to restart the dock to get the new widgets to show up. easiest way is to load up terminal and type "killall Dock"

just get office for the mac. its much more usable. i started working on macs six years ago and haven't looked back. no problems yet.

i got it!! for those of you wondering, if you ever get something stuck in your outbox that freezes mail.app, just go into the library folder in the home directory, find the mail folder, and trash the "outbox.mbox" viola, mail restored!

that card is incompatible with 2X AGP slots, which the sawtooth has. only 4X and above. the 466 mhz digital audio power mac was the first mac to have the 4X AGP slot..so it would work fine on that system with a slight modification to pins 3 and 11.…

its too bad about the Apple branded in-ear headphones...they constantly slip out of my left ear. they do sound superb when they form a seal, but you have to use your hands to hold them in your ears for that...

here's what we use it for: hosting the department's calendars, website, and file maker pro database. that's it. i'm thinking the B&W with a memory and HD upgrade will be sufficient to run OSX server, right?
