  • P:E ratio--who knows? This seems to me to be a 90's bubble redux with a bit of short squeezing. I personally would stay away and watch the fireworks.

  • Thanks for the info--it worked great!!! Sam
  • I had a similar problem here in Seattle with the Apple store in University Village. 2 young salesladies were there sort of getting ready for lunch and had no time to answer a couple of questions that I had, but had lots of time to fuss with our pupp…
  • Do you think he had an Islet Cell adenoma--that is being called as a generic "cancer"?
  • Quote: Originally posted by onlooker MacCentral has his email to Apple staff, and it says he's in full recovery, and he will need no radiation treatment, or usual cancer treatment stuff. He caught it in time. Thank god.
  • I had the same decision to make and I chose the 12" since I plan to travel with it and I wanted the portability--so it depends on wether or not you are going to move around a lot with it or use it mostly in one or two locations.
  • I just received a similar one from Qwest--(my DSL provider) I trashed it before I opened it.

  • I think you have to have an airport card in your computer to use Airport Express-I thought too that it would work off the Airport module itself, but apparently not. It works either off the card or directly via an ethernet connection.
  • I tried to use Airport Express with my ibook which does have an Airport card, but the limiting factor was the base station which was not Airport Extreme--it was the original one ( one and a half years old) and it doesn't work--I need a new one with …
  • Quote: Originally posted by John Whitney From the Airport Admin Utility, when configuring the Airport Express, there is a "Basestation Options" button. On that sheet, there is an "Enable AirTunes over Ethernet". I don't know if that will help…
  • Apparently any of the Airport cards will work--it's the base station that has to be Airport Extreme and since I have an Airport base station ( not extreme) it will not work.
  • After speaking with 2 support reps they said that in order to extend my network to include the new base stations--I needed Airport Extreme--you might want to check with Apple before you buy Airport Express--the requirements such as having a card in …
  • After spending over 2 frustrating hours with my new Airport Express-I found out that: 1. You have to have an airport card in the computer you are using to send the signal--that it doesn't work from the base station directly. 2. That the base s…
  • I don't know for sure, but my guess is that they all come from Asia.
  • The machine itself will last for at least 5 years unless you abuse it, but the technology will last about 6 months--if you don't NEED the new technology in the future, you have no problems--but who knows what one needs in the future.
  • I recently pruchased an Ibook--I ordered it on a Sat and received the next Wednesday with regular shipping--I had added on memory, a larger hard drive, and airport--that was pretty fast considering it came from Taiwan.
  • i think regular shipping is fine--unless you're in a real rush--a day or so doesn't matter in the long run. You have until your original warantee runs out to get applecare--that is one year or if you need the support, I guess you had do it during…
  • If you are transferring files from one Mac to another, if both have firewire, you can do it without buying a external--you can connect them with firewire. Directions are in the I book instruction manual. I also have a La Cie which I like a lot.
  • You can get a cable to enable you to take the signal directly from the computer and split it into your preamp then from your amp into the speakers. I think that's about the best you can do for computer sound.
