  • Yes 970s are SMP . . . but no . . .970s aren't designed to do 64 processors, nor 32. 16 maybe do-able, 8 for sure. I should also say "in one machine" (beauwolf clusters not icluded). Mac Hooz-ee-whatzitze is full of it.
