DHagan, Well, look at the 12-inch Powerbook on Amazon. The Superdrive model is usually ahead of the 15-inch and 17-inch models, and the worst it ever goes is second to one of the 15-inch models. Furthermore, back when the Powerbooks were up…

I guess, if they aren't updating them now, I'll just buy some memory until the next update. Oh well...

Alexius, I love my 20-inch Apple Cinema Display. I considered the Dell 20-inch widescreen, but I decided I wanted the Apple. It is much more affordable now. A year ago it was $1300. It looks absolutely gorgeous. It is true that the same …

Jeremy, Well, the best hope is that the high-end Powermacs are not available right now because Apple has something big about to replace them. However, it could also be that they can't get some of the components needed, for those machines rig…

I'm looking forward to updates. I have the current model, so I'm not desperate, but it is fun to see something new. A quick look on Amazon shows these Powerbooks are not selling as they were in the months following the last update in January, …

GodDog, The extra memory will make a difference, but it is still a capable machine at 512MB. Perhaps you want to use it at 512 MB, and then exchange it with a gig stick at a later date?

Powerbooks and iBooks use SO-DIMMs, so your stick will not work in notebooks.

Has anyone had his/her Apple.com order ship? Mine still says estimated shipping today, but it hasn't yet. Any ideas? Thanks.

This was a good update. It has only been six months, but Apple wanted to make configurations available that would make the Mac Mini better suited out-of-the box, for a lot of its buyers. People will now have a much better experience with an accept…

I am really shocked by the negative responses to this fantastic update, from Apple Computer. The 12-inch iBook is now an out-of-the-box performing machine, for so many more people. You have the airport (yes I know that isn't new), you have the blu…

Would a 13.3-inch widescreen Powerbook make it significantly bigger form factor? A lot wider? I like the size of my Powerbook right now.

I'm not even in the market for an iBook or Mac Mini, but I enjoy seeing all the excitement and speculation about updates to Macs. I find it fun.

Well, I'm sure it would have some strengths. Would it conquer the world? I doubt it. However, I'd install it on my PCs, of course, I don't use those much, with my Macs.
