iBook G4 1GHz... still great for a lot of things, but unfortunately I'm getting more into editing home videos and such and it's a dog for that. I can't see an upgrade in the near future as the budget doesn't allow it

I jump back and forth between Safari and Firefox... Safari because it looks nicest and "feels" good. It's certainly not the fastest by any means and I miss Adblock and other wonderful Firefox extensions, but it's still my default browser. Firef…

Downloaded the Beta, added some items to a "plan", and it consistently hangs saving... I removed it and I'll wait for the next Beta. I was surprised given the quality of their other software.

Support for Firefox extensions Or at least an extension mechanism similar to Firefox. Oh, and some performance and rendering improvements as well. Love Safari, but have to resort to Firefox for some sites. Can't stand the banner ads.

Thanks, I saw the first post I was hoping that there was more fixed and the download page would elaborate.

Here's the link at apple.com: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/iphoto604.html Absolutely no indication there of what has been changed

VGA is analog and DVI (in this context) is digital. You need something more than a physical adapter. Here's a link to a solution: http://www.drbott.com/prod/db.lasso?code=0151-VGAT I'm not sure if there are cheaper solutions...

Wow, I'm impressed. Is everybody else?

As a Rebel XT owner, I'd say Rebel XT and spend the rest on lenses. Maybe the Canon 17-40L f/4, 70-200L f/4, and perhaps a 50mm prime but I'm sure the pros will have something better to recommend. I'm still working with the kit lens and will pro…

WINE implements it's own Windows subsystem. Presumably, installation of Windows on OS X would imply using Microsoft's own libraries in the same fashion that WINE works. Apple isn't about to offer Windows binary compatibility on OS X. How else d…

Quote: Originally posted by lundy Well in all fairness, if one has, let's say, Windows 2000 running in a VM, and it does a disk write, it is going to wait for an interrupt to tell it when the disk write is done. In a VM, Windows doesn't get a rea…
