that dell monitor is a fantastic monitor. The only reason, in my opinion, to get an Apple LCD is if you are doing color work, because of the built-in colorcync circuitry. The 100 dpi resolution is nice, too, but other than that, I can't see the just…

10K hard drives are VERY loud. Wester Digital's aren't any louder than the rest. Why do you need a10K? They wear out really fast, and unless you are doing uncompressed or HD video capturing, they are kinda pointless and expensive.

too many wires. If you are going to create starwars like holographic technology, at least remove the freakin speaker wires!

It doesn't make any sense from a financial pov, because, while an imac costs more, there is more profite dollar for dollar in an iPod. Why would you want to give away your most profitable unit, to sell less profitable items? Especially when the i…

Didn't read the whole thread, and I hope someone pointed this out, because these sketch are complete bullsh*tt. Ives doesn't draw that bad. He is a very competent draftsman. It looks like a monkey with hemorroids drew that.

Color would be cool, esp. if we could copy DVDs to the iPod and play them on the screen. I know they have a chip that can do this in a mockup, but it's probably not likely to be produced.

I actually laughed out loud at this thread! EXCELLENT!!!!!!!

has anyone had luck with convincing a manager to let you check it for dead pixels at an apple store? I went to two here in CO, and they both told me to shove off. I'm really hesitant to spend that much on a display to have it be flawed. Has ANYON…

I'm pining away over the 20 gig. I'm trying to get it for free with my freeipods membership thingy (see sig). The 40 gig just seems too expensive for something you carry around in your pocket. I would hate to drop it at the gym, or have it stolen

I suspect that the FX chip won't last too long. The 980 is already in development, and it is based on the POWER5, which is even farther along. I have more confidence in IBM producing results, than I'll ever have in motorola!!!

I have a buddy with the elgato box, and it works like a charm.
