Anything besides the GeForce 5200FX is fine. Go as far as your budget will take you, but at least spring $60 for the Radeon 9600 over the horrible 5200.

DVD-RAM is pretty much dead so don't count on it. Anyway, it's Pioneer's decision, not Apple's, on what formats the drives support.
