I just caught this article at Macworld about PCI-e coming to laptops. http://www.macworld.com/news/2005/03...card/index.php

Most of us will just be happy as long as they improve something! After all this time, Apple could still go the cheap route to clear the exisiting towers buying them more time for a serious revision. Price drop, RAM/GPU upgrades and Tiger …

I keep wondering if Apple will offer a dual core processor as a single or if they'll go ahead and give us a QuadraMac right from the start. I'm sure those who purchased the first G5 single processor towers will understand what I mean.

As soon as they upped the default RAM in the PowerBooks to 512MB, most of us figured they would have to up the RAM in their top of the line anyway. Unless they change the RAM slots, I think you'll still need matched pairs in the PowerMacs, so …

Apple may have a clear cut case against their own employee, but they should not be allowed, under first amendment protections to force the publishers to disclose their source. I didn't intend to take this thread off topic, but I think our freed…

Unfortunately, if more people don't wake up and see what's going down that ditch is going to keep getting deeper and it will be lined with so much slippery excrement that no one will be able to escape.

This goes way beyond Apple vs. Appleinsider, ThinkSecret and Powerpage The important issue is whether independent authors or journalists and the publishing editors of open forum web publications qualify for protection under the first amendment. …

You may want to venture over to Versiontracker and get yourself the latest version of the handy little firewall Lil Snitch. I would also recommend Intego NetBarrier as a heavier software firewall.

First of all, I doubt that the 19 year old college student who started TS at the age of 13 is making much more than it might take to cover his server and bandwidth expenses. I'm fairly sure the editors of AI are pretty much in the same boat. …

Am I really the only one here noticing that our civil rights are being challenged more and more each day? Why not just hand over complete control of all journalism and media to those who allow corporate greed to dictate the content of their publi…

I suppose we should all just hush and trust corporate leadership and our noble government to do what's best for all of us. Ignorance is bliss
