I haven't noticed any problems at all with the 24" Dell. Pixel Test was 100% and it's such a pleasure to work with. It was really only a bit more than the Apple 20" and well worth the difference.

I'm totally delighted with my new G5 2.0 Rev B. and the 24" Dell display combo. I can upgrade the RAM up to 8GB, add a better PCI-X GPU and flash the Superdrive anytime. With the $100. Spring Apple education go save rebate, that brings my G5 2…

My Rev B 2.0 ran $1699 education and I'll be getting back another $100 with the education store rebate. The money I saved helped me pay for my Dell 24" display. This is a fantastic system for less than a well equipped 17" PB

I haven't heard of any problems installng Unsanity APE and Clear Dock. They're both free and get rid of that nagging Dock shadow. You can also customize your application running arrows to show on any display background you choose.

I guess my new Rev B G5 2.0 dually will have to hold me till those Rev B 3GHz Quadra's come down to $1699.

I understand and appreciate your concerns. I'll be running my G5 pretty much default for a few weeks at least, just to make sure everything is doing what's it's supposed to. I understand that some apps still aren't ready for Tiger, so I've …

The money I saved without sacrificing quality or performance allows me to put those savings towards the applications I intend to use and that value is hard to overlook.

Yes I too caved shamelessly! When the Apple Dual Core XStations finally make their long awaited debut, I will feel lower than the festering boils on the buttocks of a flea. But until that time, I'm gonna finally try to get something crea…

I saw the same thing at my local Apple store. The 20" display was nice and clear and crisp, while the 23" was clearly pinkish. You could really see it when they were side to side with a blank white document opened. The 30" was impressive, but t…

I'm pretty much the bargain shopper from hell when I'm buying anything, so the more I study my options the better. I'm wishing that the M Box was 4 in F/W not 2 in USB and the Duo2 is out of my range, so that leaves me with either the M-Audi…

It's right off the Apple performance page, those aren't my specs. Either way, IF I EVER can figure out how to run a DAW at all will be enough of a challenge, so I doubt I'll be maxing out this machine any time soon. I'm also still looking at a…

http://www.apple.com/powermac/performance/ For $1699 ( education Red Tag Sale ) I'm going to be fine with a (pre crippled) Rev B 2.0 G5 dually for multi-track audio recording.

My G5 was shipped from Boise Idaho, so I guess I'm getting a G5 Spud!
