  • As long as MS Word works, I would keep it installed. It's not doing anything unless you use it. And once you start uninstalling, re-installing, it can throw MS Word (Office) for a loop (happened to me a few weeks ago).

  • I use Safari about 70%, Camino 25%, and Firefox 5%. Pleased with Safari and Camino, sometimes frustrated by Firefox on how it renders. But I like controlling iTunes through FoxyTunes.

  • I use Nisus Writer Pro and Mellel. Mellel handles RTL and styles better for academic writing. Nisus Writer Pro feels like a writing tool, and has cross-referencing and indexing.
