I'm surprised nobody speculated about what this may mean for gaming on the Mac. Does this mean that Apple is poised for a renewed Mac gaming push?

I'm all for protecting the specific implementation of a software idea through copyright, but granting "intellectual property" for an idea is madness. The fact that Amazon has a patent on one-click shopping is absolutely insane.

How long did it take Jobs to turn around Apple? I'd argue it took him at least 5 years before anybody saw any results. Before that, just about everybody was proclaiming that "Apple is dying", much as they're now saying about Sun. Before that, "C…

As I said in my post yesterday, this will be a nightmare for Java and OpenSource as IBM will ruin or kill all of Sun's excellent software products: http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=96439

It's free and arguably better than VMWare and certainly better than Parallels for running just about any OS you can throw at it.

Why doesn't somebody just develop an LCD keyboard? The lack of tactile feedback would be compensated for in the same way that the iPhone/iTouch compensates for it: by showing you large versions of the letters on the screen. This would solve ton…

It's become apparent to me that it makes no sense to buy desktop PC's from Apple anymore, but that Apple is still the best vendor for notebooks. I bought a MacBook Pro a few weeks ago, and I'm very happy with it. The trackpad is awesome (despit…
