Just turn on Music Sharing from your Powerbook (iTunes Prefs -> Sharing) and it will appear in the iTunes Source List on your iBook. http://www.apple.com/itunes/share.html

http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/44333 Why? It wasn't Apple's fault, it was the city/school district that held the sale.

I hate Real and their shitty, shitty products, but I do think it would be good for the iPod to accept other DRM schemes like Helix and Janus. Doing that would sell more iPods because customers wouldn't have to buy a Creative/Rio player to use servic…

What version of OS X? Have you tried rebooting? What about right-clicking (CTRL+clicking) the Documents folder in the sidebar and choosing "Send to Trash"?

Well, it works the same way as in iTunes; just click the "Artist" heading and it will sort by artist (which it should do by default anyway)...

It happens sometimes, not exactly sure why. Might be that the files get corrupted once on the iPod, but in the two cases I've seen, you just had to reset the iPod (i.e. reformat it with the iPod Updater software) to get them to work.

You can CTRL+click on a link and choose to download the file to your hard drive. If the file doesn't play in Quicktime, try VLC player.

Yeah, I tried to use my Mac mini install disc to rollback my iBook to 10.3.x and it wouldn't let me. I had to dig up the old iBook discs and install from those. \ Tiger retail DVDs installed on both without a problem.

Steve made a comment at one of the keynotes that search could (would?) eventually replace the old way of finding things, so maybe they really will phase it out of the OS over the next 10 years. What I really wish they would do is improve the Find…

I just realized that last screenshot doesn't really show what I'm talking about as far as the unified toolbar look (because it's installed on Win XP). Here's a better example:

Whoa, good find (if it's real).

Two minis I've given as gifts have had problems skipping songs, freezing for no reason, etc., but completely resetting them with iPod Updater seemed to have fixed those issues. My own iPods (3G 40GB & 1G mini) never had these problems... mayb…

Try clearing your browser's cache and downloading again. Or ask a friend to download the .exe and give it to you on a USB stick. Hell, I'll even e-mail it to you if you want...
