“My pet hypothesis is that Siri was Scott Forstall’s baby. He pushed for the acquisition of SRI or Siri and lead the integration of it into iOS. After Forstall was fired, nobody wanted it and Apple only did the minimum to keep it going as a feat…

I don’t think the Vision Pro Fit app is new. The developer history in the App Store has version 1.0 as 1 year ago. The latest version was two months ago. In my App Store history, I installed it July 22, 2024.

I remember him from the late ‘90s as the QuickTime VR guy in the Advanced Technology Group—with longer, darker hair but still balding. I can recall the QTVR system extension appearing across the bottom of MacOS 8 during boot up. It is amazing that t…

Surprised they left out the Propellerheads' "Take California" since it was the soundtrack to the ad that introduced the iPod and Apple's shift into music.

Knowing the historical chronology very well this movie was a mind bender. While the people and places were real, the dialogue, actions, and opinions expressed were not. It was as plausible as a dream. With Sculley, Woz, and Lisa appearing at each ev…

Correction needed in article: El Capitan includes a revised "Spotlight", not "Siri".

Pharrell used to be featured in Microsoft's "I'm a PC" ad campaign. [@] so a little surprising

I could see with the latest IBM deal that Watson (GoAT Jeopardy champ) has joined team Apple, and its technology might start coming to Siri some day.
