Holy crap, this is fast (is it the DNS prefetching that is speeding things up?)! And the progress bar is back. Great update.

Amazingly, those are reasonable prices. HOWEVER, I think that AT&T should offer similarly priced tethering plans so that iPhone users can just use that AT&T radio instead of buying another AT&T radio in the iPad.

I would love for AI and all the other big Mac sites out there to hold AT&T's feet to the fire re: delays in MMS (until "late summer") and tethering (assuming they will offer that at all). It's really obnoxious.

[QUOTE=johnqh;1360824]Wow, good question. It is possibly the BeOS windowing system on top of Linux. I watched the Pre video tour. Some observations: 1. You have to slide the keyboard out to type anything. I found this is very annoying with …

Turning off Cover Flow????? OH HELL YES!!!! Now PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, I beg, give us the option to turn off CoverFlow in iPhone 2.2. Truly. Loathe. CoverFlow.

The whole thing is B.S. Why would ANYONE in the US buy an iPhone 3G to unlock and use on TMobile... they don't even have a 3G network! What is AT&T afraid of? The international market doesn't need to buy unlocked phones on eBay now, as they…

If this is really turns out to be a speed/stability release and drops support for PowerPC and/or Carbon, then I predict that they will position 10.6 as a concurrent alternative to 10.5. This would also play into the code names. If you want leg…

If this is true at all, then it is surely describing an additional iPhone model, e.g., iPhone nano. No chance in hell they are reducing the screen size on the main model. Smaller, plastic = lower end consumer (like the Macbook). Bigger, metal =…

I was really expecting a successor to AppleTV in January. My gut said that AppleTV and her neglected cousin Mac Mini would be sort of merged and revamped. I guess I'll hold out til then!

Sweet lord, just ANNOUNCE it so I can buy an iMac with the Leopard-up-to-date upgrade that I assume will be available??? Or don't announce the date, but announce an up-to-date program anyway. Come on, WHO in their right mind would buy a Mac now …

I bought my iPhone on July 9. In what alternate reality do I deserve a price refund for a 2-month old purchase?? Anyone who is whining about the price cut should be dragged to the public square and stoned to death with Zunes. I'm sorry, but m…

I think we will see: 1. iPod nano fatty 2. iPod 6G -- similar enclosure to 5G, but OS X based with cover flow 3. Beatles on iTMS 4. (maybe) updated iPod shuffle (perhaps a high-end black one with 2 GB, or some new colors, but otherwise the …

OMG who cares. Obviously a slightly faster version of the same processor will be slightly better. Why doesn't someone test out the Core 2 EXTREME iMac???

I don't mean to be naive, but are we 100% sure that is legal? What are we getting for the $175 concession (should we choose to cancel)?
