There is no chance that there will be a vast number of new manufacturing jobs created by these tariffs. It takes about three years to design and build out a large manufacturing facility and another two years to get it operational. (In Apple's case t…

Thinner and lighter is something I have wanted for years. The problem is I need two cameras for spatial video. The rest of my family will be purchasing it. Thinner and lighter is THE killer feature for many people.

jbirdiikun said: I get that Apple had to cut costs somewhere, but the loss of MagSafe (coupled with the $599 price tag) is disappointing. Cases with MagSafe are being offered by third-party vendors for the iPhone16E. So, it appears one can…

One thing is for sure, whether it is tariffs or increased U.S. production Trump's policies will result in much higher prices. The challenge to Apple is not replacing low cost labor, but finding the engineers they require. They simply don't exist in …

I love my current AVP and look forward to the combination of Apple Intelligence, which will be far more advanced, and an M5 AVP. Describing a virtual environment and having it created on the spot is not that far in the future.

I would love to have a pair of AR glasses, but for right now I love my AVP and hope they continue development along this line as well.

Holiday bargains will make the prices closer to $99 and $149 or less respectively. These will make great holiday gifts. Apple will sell a crazy number of these AirPods.

We begin to see some of the differentiation between Pro and a lower cost Vision version. Lower cost version will use current LED Panels. Vision Pro 2 will use these new OLED panels.

The base iPad could include the A17 Pro and run Apple Intelligence IF it comes with 8 GB of RAM. Don’t know if Apple could do this and keep the price at $349. More likely it will not, and instead feature an A16 and 4 GB of RAM.

I find it interesting that people consider the Apple Vision Pro primarily a media consumption device when in my experience it has been a fabulous productivity increaser. I often use it in concert with my MacBook Pro, going back-and-forth between vis…

I can understand a cheaper iPhone tethered headset may be appealing to some, but I have the AVP Gen 1 and am eagerly looking forward to Gen 2. Love the thing and have found it worth every penny. I am also looking forward to VisionOS 2 for the curren…

Looking forward to it. I can see why there is an extended timeline for AVP. The requirements for spatial computing will be quite different in many ways.

There will be not M4 introductions until the A18 and A18 Pro chips are introduced. The iPhone’s capabilities are always going to take center stage. As Willie Sutton reportedly said, “That’s where the money is.” September 2024, A18 and A18 Pro (iPh…

Apple is likely to announce M3 based updates at WWDC, or just before, for the MacStudio and Mac Pro. There will be no mention of M4. That will happen in the fall. Their update cycle is becoming clear. iPhone A18 and A18 Pro early fall (or very late …

Used mine for about 8 hours today. The longest stretch was about four hours. I experienced no discomfort, and never felt that the unit was too heavy. I will be flying with it tomorrow, so it will be interesting to test it in that environment

Vision OS 2.0 may be required for use in some other countries. It will be interesting to see how this all evolves. I don’t think we will see an upgrade to the vision hardware until 2025 at the earliest.

Really looking forward to Friday. Time to move into the future. Also, looking forward to using it on an airplane on Saturday.

AVP should not be compared to the iPhone. It is a spatial computer; therefore, a better comparison would be MacBooks or iPads. I can see AVP achieving Mac/iPad revenues, and maybe more, in the next few years.

Doesn’t get it. The $3500 price is an anchor. When a $2500 device is introduced it will be considered a bargain. If they led with $2500 it would have been considered expensive. They know what they are doing. Selling 180,000 in a few hours shows the …

180,000 is likely an underestimate. I have two friends who surprised me and ordered it. Neither is a developer or had any VR equipment in the past. They said they were intrigued by spatial computing and by what they read. I ordered on as well, and a…
