There will be not M4 introductions until the A18 and A18 Pro chips are introduced. The iPhone’s capabilities are always going to take center stage. As Willie Sutton reportedly said, “That’s where the money is.” September 2024, A18 and A18 Pro (iPh…

Apple is likely to announce M3 based updates at WWDC, or just before, for the MacStudio and Mac Pro. There will be no mention of M4. That will happen in the fall. Their update cycle is becoming clear. iPhone A18 and A18 Pro early fall (or very late …

Used mine for about 8 hours today. The longest stretch was about four hours. I experienced no discomfort, and never felt that the unit was too heavy. I will be flying with it tomorrow, so it will be interesting to test it in that environment

Vision OS 2.0 may be required for use in some other countries. It will be interesting to see how this all evolves. I don’t think we will see an upgrade to the vision hardware until 2025 at the earliest.

Really looking forward to Friday. Time to move into the future. Also, looking forward to using it on an airplane on Saturday.

AVP should not be compared to the iPhone. It is a spatial computer; therefore, a better comparison would be MacBooks or iPads. I can see AVP achieving Mac/iPad revenues, and maybe more, in the next few years.

Doesn’t get it. The $3500 price is an anchor. When a $2500 device is introduced it will be considered a bargain. If they led with $2500 it would have been considered expensive. They know what they are doing. Selling 180,000 in a few hours shows the …

180,000 is likely an underestimate. I have two friends who surprised me and ordered it. Neither is a developer or had any VR equipment in the past. They said they were intrigued by spatial computing and by what they read. I ordered on as well, and a…

Seamless ordering, mine arrives Feb 2nd. Looking forward to this new era in computing. I will be using it on an airplane on Feb 3rd.

I will be a day one purchaser. Having multiple large displays, spatial home videos, and a large movie screen are killer apps for me.
-
My guess is one will specify their prescription and an algorithm will specify the lenses required for best results.
-
My prediction is that there will be A18 and A18 Pro chips that differentiate the processors in each model. The A17 Pro presages this move.

Ordering day 1. Already making spatial videos and taking more panorama photos.

I am purchasing day one. Really looking forward to the spatial computing revolution.

Simple solution: Adding or side loading unapproved software violates the Apple warranty and any type of damage to the phone is not covered by Apple Care. You do it at your own risk. Further, Apple will not repair side loaded phones after the warranty…

The article fails to mention that the iPhone 15 Pro can (will be able to) take 3D video for Apple Vision Pro. That is a wonderful feature that is likely to trigger an upgrade for me as I plan on purchasing an AVP.

I would only upgrade from my Ultra if the new one included blood pressure detection. Otherwise, my current one remains delightful.
-
So which is it, the Pro Max or the Ultra? Will they change the name? Would make sense if they did given it will likely have features not found in the Pro, such as 8 GB of RAM, periscope lens, perhaps a 2 TB storage option, and who knows what else.

I am a simple consumer, I will be purchasing one on day one. It is about half the cost of the original Macintosh (inflation adjusted) and I purchased that as well. I believe most are underestimating the demand this spatial computer will generate wit…

I use Siri throughout the day and find it indispensable. My home is linked with Siri enabled smart devices. There is no way Apple would abandon it. I can see them augmenting it with generative AI features, which would likely dovetail with the launch…
