Call me a skeptic. I believe Apple would want to keep a clear distinction between the MacBook Air/Pro line and the MacBook. I don't see Apple making them look the same on the surface, which is what this article seems to be implying.

As I said in another thread, this "no interpreted code may be downloaded and used [...]" is a slippery slope. Any data (text, XML, etc.) you might download over the Internet is "interpreted code". Forget the scripting language in Excel ... the Exce…

I hope this ends up being a nice CDC Personal Profile implementation and not just more CLDC/MIDP like we see on most other phones. With that and an app similar to Apple's Jar Bundler for the iPhone, we could see some really nice Java apps on the iPh…

Well, I hope I'm reading between the lines with Apple correctly here. I'm guessing that after the 2.0 release in June, developers with the free SDK will also be able to install apps to their devices (once they upgrade to 2.0). Apple typically only h…

And we can all rejoice on the no Flash in the near future. Given a reasonable SDK, I've sure we'll see some form of lightweight Java application support (even if it's just a CDC runtime) in the not so distant future. Applets are probably less l…

I'd like to see a Blu-ray drive in the Mac mini. That with Front Row would be a nice setup in the home theater.
