its all a matter of taste i guess. but for me- the current powermac is a flawless work of design - the best looking desktop ive ever seen. anything close always has some kind of anoying flaw, like a panel that needs to be opened to access front usb …

i find it wierd you guys complain about the pmG5 case - it looks amazing. a house mate just got a new pc, spent quite sometime spec'n it, and found the best looking PC case one could buy (custom built). That being a plain black box, just as big as t…

I dont see why we'd get a new line of workstation macs. Unless for intel cpu reasons. mini, imac and powermac cover the whole spectrum imo - a straight forward and non-confusing lineup- apple just really need to pull of a kick ass top of the line…

it appears Blizzard had World of Warcraft up and running on osX x86 within a day- then just had to iron out bugs. does't seem so drastic. am guessing its a great thing for games by moving to intel, especially considering a brand new top of the…

aye- tried to bring up this topic in the other thousand intel threads. anyway, apple should stick with G. intel could be G6. anything else would make this "smooth" transition more rocky. it'd would make perfect sense from a marketing persp…

in reality- Apple are simply switching CPU suppliers, from IBM & Freescale- to INTEL. Simple as that. Apple will still be Apple, wiht their Apple products, and Microsoft/PC will still be what they are, with their products. everyone need…

Understood. Am simply hoping the "G5 Powermac" apple moniker wont be lost to - "PentiumX 3.8 Powermac".... but something like this threads title eg "Quadcore Powermac 3.8".

Do you believe we going to see PC Pentium chips? Or a different breed of Intel chip? ie G6?
-
Do you think this mean Apple's products will be released with standard Pentium PC chips? Or are we going to get something different from Intel? ie G6? I just dont see the rainbow from a marketing and pc-cost perspective.

not to be a whining mac nerd or nothen- no pci-express or dual core whatever doesnt bother me to much... but am kinda annoyed about the lack of x800- and the fact that they are still damn expensive with gpu's that are 2 generations old. why does …
