No 4 inch . Hopefully there is a 4 inch in development though and its just not been seen.

I with they'd continue support for the Lion... plenty of MacBooks were prematurely abandoned on 10.7, because Apple couldn't be bothered writing a graphics driver.

Did you install via iTunes? An update and restore can sometimes speed it up, and also remember, for the first 48 hours or so of iOS 8 it will be reindexing things which will slow you down.
