Take it from me that seemingly random unannounced shutdowns are far worse than throttling from a user experience perspective. I've run into them on computers where they had thermal management problems and on laptops where the battery was wonky. Havi…

Can anyone comment on the implications for the iPod Touch? As far as I know it never had the Secure Enclave, including the latest model. I'm thinking that it's so similar to the iPhone that it has the same boot ROM.

Considering that Gene Munster is a VC investor I would bet that he can afford to lose 10 sets of AirPods each week and he wouldn't even notice it on his credit card statement. But still, how can one be that careless?

I think we can look at this two different ways: 1. It's not a problem. After all, the telephone company drops off a big and nearly useless book containing names, addresses, and phone numbers of lots of subscribers on my porch every year. Heck, the…

AT&T needs to stop lying to nearly everyone and ripping off their customers. Their "unlimited" plans have limits that have been intentionally placed on them that are artificial and not direct limits of their system (example: throttling a custome…

So if the govt of Kazakhstan wants to roll their snooping out again using this method what are they left with? A few fringe browsers like Opera? Microsoft's offerings? I suspect that Kazakhstan doesn't have enough clout/market share to require all p…

Micro USB is one of the most hated connectors in history but vendors KEEP USING IT. Why why why?

I like that the XAV-AX8000 has a few real, tactile buttons (especially for volume) and a big screen but sadly it lacks wireless CarPlay -- it should have it at a $600 price point. Nice to see a real volume knob on the DSX-B700. I can't tell if the D…

I received a text from AT&T on 7/8 stating "thanks for activating AT&T mobile security and call protect" with no action from me. Now it makes sense where this originated from. The account is definitely not a new customer with AT&T -- loo…
