Siri is definitely in need of an overhaul. It’s becoming embarrassing.

I’ve had three iPod touches. I didn’t really need a smart phone so they were ideal. No costly phone contract. Everywhere I went had WiFi so FaceTime and messages worked. Now I was given an iPhone an old 5c, works great and now not expensive £5 month…

I think the theory behind the service was fine, just the implementation faulty. Like with Apple Music they should have had the option to follow or share but not make a huge deal of it.

Sure Jobs had great foresight and business sense, brought us some great world changing tech but from what I’ve read about him he just wasn’t a very nice person.

I think my old performa 5200 had an rs432 connector as opposed to an rs232 never did really know the difference.

Great article as usual Daniel there is one thing I would slightly disagree on. Macs are not easy for all young people to get into they are expensive compared to their cheaply made rivals. I think it would be great to see Apple coming in with a Mac…

Biggest reason for getting rid of headphone jack is better waterproofing, less warranty repairs and if course Apples penchant for getting rid of the 'superfluous'.

You can buy little fm tuners for about £5. If you really want one. For emergencies AM would be much more useful given its greater range and you can still get small transistor radios too.

Just got a white 2007 MacBook up and running again. The hard drive had failed and optical disk drive is not working either. Swaped the HD for a SSD I had spare and left the disk drive, I can install the OS via USB. It can do 10.7 in theory but 10.6.…

I do believe there is a sizeable number of tech journalists either in the pay of Samsung or in some kind of agreement with them to promote them and run down Apple. The blatant bias of some articles is jaw dropping.

It will be okay. The Chinese are busy making tinted screen protectors to correct this as we speak.

The reason for the results is clear. Apple is both a hardware and software company with a long pedigree in both. Google is an advertising company dabbling in both. Samsung is a hardware company dabbling in software.

Welcome sight but surprised it took so long for them put something like this out.

Ah Daniel you're forgetting the increasing market in hijacking and selling private information on Droid phones. Surely that has to count for something.

Comes with the latest Android os, which will be same os on it in 3 years.

I agree this would be a good direction for Apple to take but I think they need some outside help with this. Their previous efforts showed up the older nature of the Apple board so a few younger heads running or advising on the project would help a l…

and Apple makes an increasingly large profit from services including the App Store were Android makers have a very hard time making anything at all.

They should allow 32 bit apps to remain on the store, my iPad 2 whilst slow is perfectly usable.
