I love my 23". But the box is too big for carry-on, unless you can schmooze one of the attendants to house it in their private area. I have a box here and there's no way it will fit under a seat or in an overhead bin.

My mini runs a 23" ACD. No stuttering at all. Maybe the 2 Gigs of RAM helps?

Isn't a better comparison Vista vs Os X? XP is pretty old and isn't doing as much under the hood, is it? Games under Vista are supposed to be abolut 10% slower, I've read. How about OS 9 vs XP?

You'll need Windows for some things, but I'd go the Macbook route. I'm just finishing grad school with my Mac and have had a much easier time of it all around than any ne else I know, primarily because the lack of time an effort fending off malware.
