My AT&T order is still saying October 13-31 this morning, as it did last night. I'm hoping the carriers don't have a clue about how many units they'll get and the orders will get filled more quickly.

I sent a couple of iMessages to my wife yesterday on my iPhone 5 and I noticed the progress bar still hadn't gone all the way across 30 minutes later. Subsequent attempts failed too. I ended up just tapping and holding on the message and then sele…

As long as Maps still doesn't support adding vias (waypoints) for a route, I will still have need of my Garmin. I've seen nothing that says such support is coming in iOS 7.

It would be even more secure if the feature also asked for Apple ID, maybe as an option.

Sounds like they waited until the last possible moment to file it too. I don't know what the lifespan of a patent is now, but June 1996 to June 2013 is 17 years, which is what the lifespan used to be.

"So much better than Forstall." I couldn't agree more. He seemed less rehearsed than Scott ever did.

Just like "Windows" is a descriptive term for the type of user interface, a term in use long before Windows 1.0 came out. If they're going to establish the "descriptive term" standard, MS should have their Windows trademark invalidated.

I, too, thought Siri was a gimmick...until i got a chance to use it. As another poster said, it's much more efficient to add reminders using Siri than using the touch interface. It also works perfectly with the hands-free microphone built into m…

The patent trolls have pushed the industry into these sorts of consortia. It's just a big game of keep-away.

Could they have made the user interface on Google Maps any less intuitive? When I was finally able to set up turn-by-turn directions, it was by sheer luck.

Why do these articles always only say "developers"? Apple also seeds to select consumers by invitation.

At least they only missed the real 12 Days of Christmas by one day, which is more than I can say about a certain cable TV network. The real 12 Days start December 25 and go through January 5. January 6 starts the season of Epiphany.

I own a few Apple shares and I don't believe that the succession plan should be made public. That's like publicizing the battle plan before going into battle. I will be voting against the proposal.

I suspect this policy was enacted because of the Hot Girls app (or whatever it was called), which got approved with clothed women in the online content and then the developer switched in topless women after the app was approved. If you'll forgive…
