If Apple doesn’t increase the travel on its keyboards soon, I will probably move to a product like this Dell. I have been using Apple products for decades, but when they drastically reduced the amount of travel on the keys - the prime interface - I …

You forgot to mention that the 2012 MacBook Pro has a fabulous keyboard. The new keyboard is terrible by comparison, with hardly any key travel.

Thanks Jdw, this is an excellent suggestion. I will certainly be writing to Apple about the shallow keyboard issue. I will also try to write to Tim Cook directly about it - or at least via his secretary. I suspect that he may not be fully aware of M…

Jdw and Blah64,Thank you for your highly constructive comments about the MacBook keyboard. I wish Tim Cook would read them.Let’s talk Apple company politics for a moment, because this may shed some light on how we ended up with sub-optimal keyboards…

Overheard inside Apple a few months ago:*‘Hey boss, were getting a lot of negative publicity about the MacBook keyboard problems, a few lawsuits, and even a petition calling for a recall.’‘Can we fix it in time for the next MacBook update?’‘No, beca…

Stuck keys are just part of the problem. The worst aspect of the new MacBook keyboards is they have almost zero travel. This makes them very uncomfortable to write on for extended periods. Apple has sacrificed functionality for thin-ness. The design…

Unbelievable! The amount of key travel still hasn’t changed in these latest Macbooks! For goodness sake, how can you ignore the thousands and thousands of users who complain that the new MacBook keyboards are too shallow. We’re not asking for much -…

Many people prefer the Home Button to Face ID - me included. This is why twice as many people choose an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus rather than the iPhone X. Therefore it would be a fundamental strategic mistake for Apple to remove the Home Button from futur…

If there is a new MacBook on the way, I just hope the keyboard is fixed - with more key TRAVEL!!

You forgot to mention the Marshall Kilburn - which is a brilliant portable speaker. Amazing sound and fabulous looks. I play classical music and opera on mine - really loudly - and it’s like sitting in a concert hall.

The new MacBook keyboards are too SHALLOW for extended typing. There is insufficient key travel. Apple, please fix this problem. Don’t sacrifice the MacBooks for ‘thin-ness’.

Surely, Apple wouldn't update the MacBook without fixing the keyboard. The lack of key-travel on the current keyboard makes it a nightmare for typing long articles or books. Then, of course, there's the reliability issues of stuck keys etc. But gi…

No surprise here. Most iPhone users want a proper Home Button. It makes the iPhone so easy to use. I know two friends who switched back from iPhone X to iPhone 8 because they missed the home button.

After the novelty wore off, I switched my iPhone X for the iPhone 8 after 10 days, and could not be happier. Touch ID on the iPhone 8 is faster and easier to use than Face ID - and enables me to open my phone before it leaves my pocket. I was also w…

The key point here is that the iPhone 8 range (I.e. combined 8 and 8 plus) has more activations than the iPhone X. Which means it is outselling it. This supports the recent analysts concerns over the iPhone X. The problem will become more severe whe…
