As a guy I found the headline annoying having been very happy with the smaller watch 3 for the whole of last year. With the 4, however, I’ve now changed to the bigger size simply because the battery life was so noticeably poorer on the ’women’s’ s…

You are lucky with your 30% extra battery. I got the 40mm version Nike Watch 4 on 5 Oct., same size as my old series 3. Basically for the strap with holes. I am very pleased with it, but battery capacity is way down from last year. I used to w…

So I can stick a Tile in a flat cap but I think glasses will be impossible - and unaesthetic too - but can anyone contradict that? I keep my keys in my pocket. The only thing I’d want Tiles for is my glasses and my cap. Both vital items lose the…

I’d be interested if AppleInsider wanted to review the Apple HomePod compared to its earlier precedent, the IPod Hi-Fi. These are still available second hand, looking great and kicking out a very fine sound. I have one and it’s so good I’m not su…

The iPhone X launched two months later. Those who used their Apple Upgrade then, like I did, or started it then, still have those months to pay for, or throw away two months of payments - £112 in UK. Surely there must be many in that position who …

Those mini keyboards are enviable, I’m like that little girl and nearly ordered one just now, but on reflection I actually like the texture, and even the size, of the existing onscreen iOS keyboards. At least that is on the iPhone and iPad mini — m…

Cellular watches. Here in the UK just one company offers a second sim for the cellular Apple Watch 3 - EE. From what I have read this is not because Apple have given EE the contract, which is what most people assume. It is the technology involved,…

I logged on thinking I’d put in a word for scapple and - there’s plenty already..!. Still I’ll add this. Mind mapping apps so amazing things with ideas but I find this one more conducive to actual thinking. The interface is unique, with an effec…

Interesting. Nice try - but I'll wait for the touchbar enabled Apple keyboard when it comes. I assume the mixed reviews won't stop Apple persisting with that technology, which offers the same options, does it better by the look of this, and it'll s…

It's been done already. A mashup of the same song, sung by a National Health Service choir, was used as a fund raiser Christmas before last. The song was widely publicised in U.K. and got to no.1 https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.bbc.co.uk/news/am…

I'm not having the problem with the inline controls on my AKG 490NC phones and an iPhone 7, so presumably its hardware not software.

This is a good deal in USA where carrier prices are very high, and maybe I'll be able to use it in USA when I'm there. In UK it's a very different story. I pay £7:50 a month for 1 GB data and more minutes than I can use.

"He also correctly predicted in April that Apple would not launch a new 4-inch iPhone model this year, though he said on Tuesday that he expects Apple will launch a metal handset with an A9 chip in that size in early 2016." Is this likely?

Pages has a great feature that rarely gets mentioned: one finger swipe - jump one character; two finger swipe - jump one word. It makes editing and moving around text much easier and I am surprised it has not been added to email, notes and other ma…
