There's a much easier way to bypass Gatekeeper, if you don't want to take advantage of the protection provided and have the ability to nilly willy install anything you want: Get a PC other than a Mac! I can't even imagine any software to be tempting…

why- said: I like the smaller form factor tbh. I saw a man using the 12.9 in iPad Pro on my flight to Paris and y'know you hear everyone talking about how big it is but you never really understand until you see it in person. Now, I've got a S…

Apple is suffering from work overload lately. There's a bit of quirkiness about everything Apple nowadays. Ever since iOS 9.0 the 3 mobile devices in our family (2 iPhones and 1 iPad mini) have been doing the weirdest things when getting connected t…

I'm calling BS on that one. They knew they were going to loose this and caved. But - they need to save face. So they concocted this story. In the end the story probably will go like this: "There was nothing to be gleaned from that iPhone. It really …

Seems to me you're good updating devices until they're about 1 1/2 or maybe 2 years old. You keep updating them beyond that and the problems start creeping in. If you want the newest capabilities of the OS then after a certain point you just have to…

Oh, the good old days! When all "Things (Apple) just worked", which, I'm afraid, has become a "Thing" of the past.

I'd still have a phone that size like my old trusty 4s, if my eyes were still any better up close. I can use my 6Plus without having to get out glasses. That's the only reason I'm putting up with its size.

Back tracking for fear of losing?

Just don't discontinue the iPad Pro in the 12.9" size. I want one. So it can replace my 13" Macbook. The laptop really isn't all that easy to hold and use in your hand. But I want the almost 13" of screen. (And the pencil, of course!) I just need t…

Rest assured my fetish is with hot babes in sexy lingerie. Not my iPhone. That's just a tool. And it never will be more than that. If you succeed in having your backdoor created for you, people will have not much choice but to remove all their app…

The authorities screwed the pooch in a major fashion. And now they want Apple to do the impossible: Unscrew the pooch without jeopardizing its users' data security. Anytime you engage in any sexual activity without a condom, YOU have to live with th…

Stick to your (OUR) guns! Data security is one reason we use iPhones in our family.

As to the invitation to discuss the matter - I would be very careful there in Tim Cook's shoes. It's only a very small step to go from an open discussion to being asked to give sworn testimony and having to plead the 5th. Those boys in D.C. are snea…

Criminal enterprises or terrorist groups probably know just like I do about the "Find iPhone" feature and its ability to remotely erase all data on an iPhone. Which, or so you'd think, they would have used. I admit I'm not sure what exactly erase me…

Apple should stand firm on this. As should any smart phone manufacturer (because it wouldn't stop with Apple.) First off Apple is speaking for all of us iPhone users who are not willing to give up our right to privacy and to have all of our data pro…

I don't see any advantage in leaving apps open. Once there are too many of them in the app switcher it's faster to relaunch an app from the home screens than to swipe through all the open apps.
