If my memory serves me well, Apple usually sells about 40% of its Macs in the U.S. and about 60% abroad. If it's the same in this quarter, that means: 40% = 1,000,000 60% = 1,500,000 That's two and a half million which is "insanely great".

I have problems believing that Apple is going to bring out a whole range of iPhones. It's not like the Nano, where apple had only to reduce the size of the clickwheel and put less memory in. If you try to reduce the size of the iPhone, you'll hav…

There is one rock-solid 'rule' for the markets. Although the markets are often ill-informed and often react illogically, when a company continually increases its market-share and profits, then the share prices will follow. You can argue whether…

I believe that Apple will double its market share by the end of 2009 or, at the latest, mid 2010. The writing's on the wall.

As Macs pick up market share this year, I think we're going to see more and more computer firms selling their computers with a user-friendly Linux installed. They'll be noting how well the Asus Eee, with Xandros Linux installed, has been doing. I c…

I really like the idea of a scroll wheel on a keyboard. It would mean that you could dispense with the mouse some of the time, and that's always an advantage. The present scrolling keys on the keyboard are too slow and not subtle enough. If you try…

There's no denying it! Whether right or left, liberal or conservative, religious, agnostic, or atheist, Mac users are simply better human beings.

O.K., it might be an explanation (or sorts). But on second thoughts and having just re-heard the audiobook: 'The Second Coming of Steve Jobs', I'm beginning to think that it may well be S.J.'s well-documented tendency to make as much as you can …

....... added to the population of the USA, the iPhone will then be available to half a billion people!

That's quite a big new market for the iPhone in November. The combined population of Germany, France and the U.K. is just over 200 million.

ApplePi, I agree with your prognosis as far as the high-end iPod goes. There's a possibility that it will have a 120GB HD and a small chance that it will have a slightly larger screen than 2.5". Whatever, it'll be a great device for music, vid…

A few years ago I bought the mini G4 (1.42 GHz) as a 'stand-over' until Apple brought out a flexible, mid-range destop, and as IT'S STILL NOT THERE YET, I'll probably be buying the new 2 GHz mini in October - another 'stand-over'. At least, as I …
