Not a comprehensive list by any means. I know that the head unit standard in many, if not all, 2018 Dodge Durango models supports CarPlay. I've been shopping those models for a while and I don't believe the 2017 models had it. I wonder how many othe…

They have nobody to blame but themselves. If they didn't charge such exorbitant licensing fees and didn't sue at the drop of a hat, Apple probably wouldn't be shying away from them.

Yep, leaking private information and Google are synonymous. Anybody know where to find the list of affected apps?

And yet, they STILL haven't implemented the ability to set vias in navigation, something that Garmin has been able to do with their GPS units for many years.

The "sources familiar with the matter" must be smoking some of that legalized California weed. Apple would be extremely stupid to remove the Lightning connector, if for no other reason than it would render several high profile accessories, including…

Sounds to me that Apple offered fair recompense and the guy is just being a jerk. I hope whatever judge get this one throws this guy out on his ear.

I'm confused. The company name is Spectrum, but they're only mentioning Charter Spectrum. Does that leave out the Time Warner Spectrum customers? Also, most streaming video is not available in surround sound, only stereo. Will Charter Spectrum be abl…

Rather deceptive specs. I'll bet the claimed 3.1A power is for the wireless charger and the USB port. So, the question becomes: Does the USB port only provide 1A or does the wireless charger only provide about 5W.

Great. We're back to dongles again. (Yes, I was being sarcastic, but it's an honest sentiment.)

I wish one of these smart thermostat makers would reverse engineer Carrier's Infinity protocol. I see all these thermostats on the market and there's only one I can use, which has an outrageous price.

As I recall, the Supreme Court recently ruled that plaintiffs can be forced to file in the jurisdiction where they are incorporated and can't pick a jurisdiction just because it's favorable to them. If that's true, Apple could request a change in ve…

Greenpeace won't be happy until we go back to only face-to-face oral communications.

Why is that a surprise? Berating an iPhone has become one of CR's habits.

Too bad they don't sell the Netgear Orbi because I think it's a better system. It has a dedicated 5.8 GHz backhaul channel capable of 1.7 Gbps. The satellite has a built-in 4-port Ethernet switch, so I've moved all the wifi devices in my entertainm…

bloggerblog said:Yes that would make sense, but what happened to the 1,000 cycles claim on their batteries? I do remember Apple boasting it a few years back. 1,000 cycles is a little over 3 years if you drain your battery every single day. My wi…

Too bad they can't enable pass-through control of the satellite tuner in many people's car radios. The iTunes app essentially passes through to the radio's build-in media playback app. Sure, I can still access the satellite radio by tapping on the i…
