Nice guesswork. Weren't there meant to be real numbers though? As in I heard there were download statistics in the OTA AppStore app. (I can't verify this as I still don't have one yet!) Anyway, it's easy to tell the store's a great moneymaker …

These pics seem plausible to me. The MacBook style battery would be a vast improvement. Just look at the bottom of an MBP, yet alone think about upgrading the hard drive, and tell me it can't be improved.

Quote: Strong iPhone news mania has made it popular to travel from New York or San Francisco to report on several iPhone launches at once, for media outlets like AppleInsider, paying for the trip. Here's hoping AI did precisely that Dan. Everyt…

That is one beauty of a store! Wheeling around the panorama, I had to laugh when I steered it off down the street. Only the bottom left portion of the shop was visible (next to McDonalds) and all of a sudden it actually looked like our town's lon…

I have a little something that I'm learning Cocoa so I can get started on. Thinking of a fairly low price, but not free. I'd kind of like to be able to switch over to this whole developer thing. AppStore is what makes the iPhone so intriguing ri…

The only computer affected by this problem in my personal experience is the newest of them all: a late 2007 iMac. A pair of five year old PowerBooks have never had any wi-fi wobbles in all that time and soldier on today. The base station is last …

My brother bought a 24" Alu iMac shortly after Leopard was released … it came with Tiger pre-installed and a Leopard update disc in the box. He had no end of Wi-Fi trouble on my AEBS.n from day one. Network not showing up, password and security n…

Mac mini AirPort Extreme Newertech MiniStack They all share the same plan and stack quite nicely. I use the MiniStack's FireWire hub to connect to my Mac, and its USB hub to plug several AirPort Disks into the AEBS ? one of which is a simple USB fl…

Nice info guys. Whimsical: I host my iTunes collection on a tasty 1 TB Newertech MiniStack (with Western Digital Green Power hard drive) which I bought both for ports and its sleep mode. I fitted the drive myself. I have my Mac mini set to s…

Q: Does the Time Capsule's internal hard drive "sleep"? It reads like you said it does. I've not heard about this before.

Something else to note is that Time Machine seems to work much, much slower on G4's than Intels. Yeah: I know, so it should, but I mean remarkably slow. I've synched two Intel Mac mini's for the first time and it took an hour tops for each. PowerBoo…

Dan: perhaps your signal woes are because of misinterpreting the number. AirPort Utility measures signal strength in RSSI which is a logarithmic scale. -100 is terrible, -50 is good, and 0 is infinite! The closer to zero, the better your signal. My …
