This tech seems important enough for the Mac that Apple should pay them to port existing DirectX 12 games for Apple Arcade.

Are there really 1500 UK developers making >$1M from app sales? And don’t the remaining developers pay 15%? Anyway I think it would be fine for Apple to reduce the commission to 15% for everybody, but the change might result in Apple platforms be…

I agree there should be a few USB-C ports, but I don't understand your complaining about too many USB-A. You really don't have any USB-A devices? I probably have 10 within arm's reach, including printers, scanners, external had drives and various iP…

Pretty sure these are chip-bumped Mac Studio models.

Since Apple never released touchscreen Macs, it could be these larger-screen iPads will be Apple's new touch-first desktop computers. One of my kids is using a 12.9" iPad Pro with the keyboard cover and pen as a laptop at college, quite happily I mi…

I submit probably 100 apps a year for app review, and the quality of the reviewers is all over the board. Sometimes the reviewer rejects an app for a ridiculous or erroneous reason, but then the app gets approved immediately if you resubmit it. I th…

PREDICTION: MacBook Air 15, the last of the M2 Macs, will release at WWDC and will be a top-seller due to its lower price and bigger screen. The rest of the Mac lineup will wait for M3.

AppleZulu said: I get that this is a rumor site, but surely we're basing our predictions about things on more than this. I've probably submitted apps to the App Store 1000 times now. Occasionally, I'll get a bogus rejection from an overzea…

If Apple has 2 big products for release this spring -- a cheaper 15" laptop and an over-priced goggles -- I would release the laptop ASAP (it should be a big seller) and the goggles at the developer conference. Releasing the goggles earlier will tak…

Can this be fixed with sym links? I haven't used my main drive for Photos for over a decade -- using sym links I just point the OS to another drive for that folder. My Dropbox is 3 TB, even bigger than my Photos.

Windows native app development is dead (so nobody will port to Arm), Qualcomm's chips are too slow, Nuvia chips are a moving target, and prices are too high. OTOH, Apple and Mac are well-positioned to increase market share.

Too many cooks -- it's doomed to fail. But I'm guessing the banks are nervous about Apple's and Google's digital wallets someday replacing them. I suppose if Apple and Google add loans and investments to their wallets, brick-and-mortar banks won't h…

I was part of the small developer class action lawsuit in the US, and am owed several thousand $. Unfortunately the claims administrator in the US is incapable of competently disbursing the funds and has gone unresponsive. Any other devs in a simila…

I think the Apple Store employees SHOULD organize, but I take the press releases from the unions with a grain of salt. Very big grain. Also, are employees who join the union ineligible for management positions? That could be a big disincentive to jo…

Disney DOES have the LARGEST back catalog of content -- Marvel, Mickey Mouse, Star Wars, Lucasfilm, 20th Century, National Geographic, ABC, ESPN, princess movies, Disney channel, Disney+, Hulu, Pixar. WB Discovery in comparison is very, very tiny. …

This is a feature that other handset manufacturers and Google won't easily be able to copy. Who else would set up all the infrastructure required? Carrier Tmobile might get there, but I imagine their satellite plans will work best with iPhones that …
