I wonder why no mid-range phone (SE is now a good exception) has wireless charging. I found the feature surprisingly convenient and it’s a big argument for me now.

Not going to happen. The whole point of SE being a cheaper device is possible thanks to reuse of older/existing components. New case is expensive, new screen is even more expensive.
