Sounds cool. The processor inside the iPod does have the ability to capture 5-megapixel images, but I have no idea about video.

I could understand about centrino, but I'd rather pay five dollars more for a thousand dollar computer that doesn't have a sticker on it.

plus, if you get an external firewire drive, you can boot from the drive if you have os x installed on it. it may come in handy sometime if your ibook's drive fails for some reason.

Apple has a technology known as Rosetta that is supposed to emulate most of the PowerPC apps that we all have today. Recently, they added G4-Altivec code emulation support, so now even more apps can be run. How well they'll run, on the other hand, i…

Well, let's just hope the next gen of iPods have FireWire 800, eh? At least maybe just a separate buy, but I really don't like the idea of using USB.

I had to get my iBook G3/800's logic board replaced. The problem was that whenever I started up, nothing showed up on the screen. I also had to get my Combo Drive fixed on it, but that was at a different time. Now it's better than ever, no pr…

LOL "Windows Sidebar" = Dashboard "Folders & Virtual Folders" somewhat = to saved Spotlight searches, right? "Quick Search Box" = Spotlight and "Internet Explorer Quick Tabs / RSS" = Safari + RSS. All I can say is just ROTFLMFAO.

I didn't know that the new Power Macs didn't have wireless! Wow. Is there some sort of internal design change that made a revamp of the wireless system required?

I still have a G4 iMac, the very last 20" revision. And for a $2000+ computer, I still think it does the job rather nicely. the arm is pretty cool, but yeah, it does add to the cost. Those brand new iMacs are tempting, but I'd rather get a new iBook.

Well, I don't think it's going to be completely obsolete any time soon. USB 2.0 definitely has more of a presence, but I'm pretty sure FireWire isn't leaving any Mac soon. It's kinda sad though how the iPod now doesn't support FireWire transfers. Ki…

Target Disk mode, as far as I know, is a method of turning your computer into a FireWire disk to be connected to another computer. It's great when you need a fast method of transferring files to another computer without an external drive.
