Doubt Apple can legally disable a feature in a "sold" item. They can not include that feature in the new ones coming off the line. That complies with what I can read.

It reads if the device is currently under extended warranty, then they can service it. The magic phrase is under a current extended warranty.

Seems like they are into illegal impersonations of other people to gain access for their product. They are currently spoofing on their Macs that they are many different Apple customers. What a security nightmare. So if they get ahold of a real…

It has been great to be able to move my stainless steel Milanese Loop watch band onto the successive generations since S3 days including my Ultra and now Ultra 2. That might be the last time to be able reuse my stainless steel band on a new iWatch s…

Since Apple watches sell more units than any other brand, I think the product will continue. If the poster above disliked Apple Watches after purchasing them many times, why did that person buy another one? No mental logic to that story.

Long haul flights have provided top notch headsets (for airlines) in first class for years, Lower classes get the equivalent of wired ear buds that marginally get sound to your ears. Both seem to now use the 3.5 sound plug on most of the newer plane…

The good news for the NAY sayers is that they do not have to buy a M3 iMac. Take your marbles to another sand pile. Apple will not miss your departure. The iMac line is not a major player for many folks, but it is an excellent low cost alternative…

I will order a silver M3 iMac (24GB Ram and 2TB SSD with trackpad and keyboard with numeric keypad) in the spring. It will be used in our office/shed during the summers at our Airstream only RV park and have a printer attached. Out WiFi net work wil…

I needed to upgrade to Apple silicon to move away from my last Intel powered device. My M2 Pro Mac mini (12 CPU/19 GPU, 2TB SSD, 32GB ram and 10Gb ethernet) cost $2,591.75 after military discount and sales tax. It is replacing an 2021 Intel i7 mini…

Apple immediately gets the sale proceeds and GS (or whoever the bank might be) gets stuck with trying to get their money back from the customer who, also now has the product. Perhaps there needs to be a clause that "title" to the goods vest after …

When traveling around the world, AmEx is accepted at some of the major hotels and some of the top restaurants. Virtually no use in rural European or South American areas nor the seven countries of southern Africa we visited several years ago. Most o…

I have enjoyed the daily cash back on the Apple Card vs CostCo annual distribution. I have had a premium (now Platinum) American Express card since 1968. Back in the day, there was no limit on that AmExp card because only those that were credit wo…

This Christmas "surprise" was talked about a month or so back. My wife and I have both used Apple Watches since version 3. I consider mine as important as my iPhone. The Apple watch is completely tied into the Apple eco-system. I upgraded my Ultr…

I think the bad debt experience at GS is only a result of their poor selection process to allow new customers. Their lust after the exhorbiant interest rates on credit card debt blinded them to the fact that those high interest rates are because of …

To keep just the three parts of the Apple One bundle I actually use would cost more with their individual prices than the complete bundle.

My Intel i7 Mac mini has 64GB of OWC ram and the 2TB SSD soldered in by Apple. I have seen over 40GB of the ram being used as cache during massive file transfers. Perhaps the SSD could be smaller, but memory size does impact server activity. Sinc…

It seems all four M1 chips had nearly the same single core performance. We saw that all four of the M2 chips also had similar single core speeds and there was about a 15% increase in the average number. So, for me, there was no incentive to upgrade …

Wonder if the price will be close to the prior generation like last time? I may be tempted this time and take my M1 Ultra Mac Studio (128GB & 8TB SSD) and use it as my file server to replace the aging and soon to be unsupported Intel i7 powere…

Speedy recovery. From my personal motorcycle creative riding, you will discover even more places that hurt over the next few days. Fortunately you were within a cell tower's range. I carried "SPOT" back in the day that could communicate with SARSat,…
