Well, I will be getting a Mac mini soon and was thinking of installing Vista RC-1 on it instead of XP. Think the mini can handle it? On a side note, my wife has many games (not too GPU-intensive like roller coaster tycoon for example). Will these…

Well, I know it's a little inconvenient and not too stylish, but you take some non-trasparent tape (duct tape, electrical tape, etc) and place it over the camera. Then when you want to use it, you just remove the tape. Want peace of mind from possib…

What would only make this product absolutely perfect is if you could use front row (whether it is installed inside the device or just accessed from the copy of OS X on your Mac) from this device to access your media and play it on your TV. Why go to…

Spring loaded folders in the dock. been wanting this feature for awhile now.

It would be nice if the glossy color bar that appears in BURN folders or TRASH would also appear in folders that just contained images. The button on the colored bar could read "SlideShow"

If carbon and cocoa APIs were available on Windows, do you really think a major application developer like Adobe would develop solely with Carbon/Cocoa or continue using the Windows API's their using now?

Hmmm, let's see. Here are a few things I would love to appear in OS X: 1) Service menu appearing in contextual menu within application. 2) A browse button in the Finder that acts like the one in iTunes. Click it, and you can browse your comput…

Let's assume this is a real screenshot of the Finder that is going to make its debut in Leopard for a second. Here's my take... Pros: - The new Finder theme looks a lot more slick than the current brushed metal theme - The idea of tabs and …

Personally, I think Apple should build a cut/paste method of some kind into the Finder. Either do it like on Windows with Cut and Paste commands or via shelf like Path Finder uses. Either method works fine although I do like Path Finder's shelf as y…

As someone who is pretty accustomed to the Cut/Paste method of moving files, I have found a plug-in for the Finder that works beautifully... FileCutter http://homepage.mac.com/gweston/download.html

I really think Apple should bring back the colors like they had on the iPod mini. I thought it was a great idea and I think a lot of customers liked being able to get an iPod in other choices other than white. Was there any research that showed t…

Apple is claiming Creative is infringing on four of its patents.

So here's a question... Is this garbage collection going to be implemented automatically for all applications or are developers going to have to turn it on inside their application themselves?
-
I am not much of a application developer so how important of a feature is garbage collection?

Well some more testing reveals some awkward results. So far PDF's I am generating from cocoa apps have the random bold text issue. PDFs created from Word don't seem to be affected. Weird.
-
Well, it appears that this PDF issue is only with Pages so I may just move over to Word until they fix it. If you're using just straight non-styled text, it isn't an issue. Weird.

I only own a copy of Acrobat 5 and Acrobat Reader 7 on my PC. Also, no my problem hasn't been fixed. I have been trying out various tests and my results still remain the same... Only PDF's generated from Pages have the darker text (any color) …
