Intel does have a point that macOS sucks if you are a gamer. The latest blockbuster titles just aren’t available on Mac, and that is a fact. Of course many people buy macs for reasons other than gaming, but the gaming market is a still a relatively…

Looks beautiful to me. Give the user choice. Apple likes to decide for the user, but a customizable interface is a good thing if the user wants that too.

He’s right. macOS is much more open in terms of how users can install apps, and yet the Mac isn’t crawling with malware, unlike windows. Also, if iOS is opened to allow third party app stores, nothing would require users to download apps from those …

More e-waste? I guess Apple had to do what it did to bring the awesome screen to iPad. So I’m not upset at all, but some existing owners of magic keyboards that were planning to upgrade might be a bit miffed that they now have to purchase a whole …

Say what you want about Intel, and I know they're in the middle of manufacturing woes, but they have helped push the world of connectivity forward in a significant way. First with inventing and open sourcing USB, then came thunderbolt which is amaz…

commentzilla said: You're right, its not a knee-jerk reaction to the M1. It's a long term reaction to the A-Series (M1) chips that have over a decade met and now surpassed PC chips. They all saw it coming, yet they are behind and it's the x86 i…

While Alder Lake is similar in concept to M1, I don’t think it’s fair to suggest that Intel Alder Lake design is a knee jerk reaction to (or plagiarism of M1). Silicon design takes years, from conceptual design to manufacturing to baking in support …

Agree with prior comments. Please include build numbers in your commentary. Would help your readership immensely. Version is 20C69, same as the release candidate.

“ Apple can radically take future Macs in a new direction that will leave behind standard PCs the same way that iPad has left simpler Android tablets in the dust, or the way iPhone silicon has rapidly advanced beyond what is even available in an And…

What about eschewing Safari and just use Chrome? I haven’t tried Netflix 4K on macOS but YouTube works at 4K in chrome on Catalina when safari doesn’t support 4k.

For now, pip still works on iPhone using Firefox and chrome. Doesn’t work in safari.

It’s just a matter of time before the hammer drops. About time too.

I hope Apple loses, as it is stifling competition. Why is it that apps that offer physical goods are treated differently than those that offer virtual goods? Also, how is Apple entitled to 30 percent revenue of billions of dollars of virtual good re…

Thanks. That’s what I thought, but the verbiage in the article made it seem like the integrated rj45 port could do 10 gbps under a certain scenario. But this isn’t the case, it’s a direct TB3 to TB3 connection which you don’t need this dock to do. …

“ The dock also includes a wired gigabit Ethernet connection, which uses an integrated 1Gbps i210 Intel network adapter with 10Gbps peer-to-peer networking capabilities when directly connected to a second Thunderbolt 3-enabled host.“ How does one e…

Radical re-design? Come on! The only thing radically re-designed is the pricing model. It looks the same as the last generation, features the same colors, same processor, still has the same 720 p camera, and inexplicably, still has the …
