It’s a very welcome improvement and as I said in an earlier thread, might mean I update my original iPad Pro. Oh and it also means I can make phone calls on my Mac! Oh hang on, that’s a years old feature… 😝

Scuzzy terminations we’re a right laugh and a great way to lose data and days. But they did let you make phone calls on your Mac via your iPod! 🤪

Good job she doesn’t own a Mac, she might have believed she could make phone calls via it!

Why are people in denial about this feature and dislike it when I point out it's an existing feature!? To make a phone call via your Mac using your iPhone's cellular connection, follow these steps: Ensure Prerequisites: Your Mac and iPhone mus…

Great info! I’d be curious to hear more about the wireless back haul and how it compares to wired. How does it share its bandwidth with multiple client activity and does that impact back haul? What of channel use and congestion? Maybe even compariso…

iCloud private relay. Maybe imperfect, but free and actually more private than traditional VPNs for safari.

The airplay restriction is odd as you can use airplay not in handoff mode. I’m not sure what ensures it plays from the source (like when streaming BBC Sounds), but when it does, surely it’s just effectively a bit pipe Mike?

So much tosh. WiFi calling is usually separate from making calls via your Mac, which as mentioned is a decade old. WiFi calling is great if your cellular (mobile) signal is weak, but you have good WiFi. With or without WiFi calling, but can make an…

They have an uphill battle to keep content providers onboard. Like Herding cats. All with their own idea of which way to go is best. The likes of the BBC seem to have completely abandoned any interest in AppleTV (tellingly, so does iPadOS predictive…

Unified numbering across products makes sense. Probably time to bin the confusing cat/place/ski resort label —whilst it’s fun, isn’t it perpetuating the problem? PS. Love the proper phone app finally

Neat. I Hope the workout coaching voice includes localisation with something less gushing for the non-US market. Wrist flick looks good.

This is big news. Might encourage me to splash on a new iPad soon.
