I haven't seen this and I have a cinema display connected to my new MBP. I have woken it up many times with no trouble the past couple weeks.

I did the same thing in my MBP. I didn't want to wait for it to be shipped and had the drive from my old (well, 2.4) MBP. I notice very very little vibration, hardly noticeable.

I use the older version of this one and it works great (I have used well over 100 times). http://newertech.com/products/usb2_adaptv2.php

The trackpad took a couple hours to get right, but is perfect now, I don't really notice a difference. While I went from a 1 year old battery to a new one, the battery life on the new machine seems better ... certainly not worse. I am running in the…

I purchased the new 15" MBP yesterday and love it. I pulled the 7200RPM 320GB from the last MBP out and put it in this when when I got it, so other than the processor I have the same laptop you are considering. I only used the 7200 RPM in this but I…

Ahh, now I remember why I didn't like coherence in parallels versus fusion. Both can use multiple monitors but parallels considers both monitors one with a very wide resolution. Maximizing applications spans them across both monitors which doesn't w…

So, after the control key issue I thought that maybe I hadn't tried coherence in a recent version of parallels and I just switched back. The parallels boot / log-in time was significantly fast that fusion, I hadn't noticed that before. So I'm bac…

After my first day using Fusion instead of parallels I only have two issues (both minor) ... 1) Invoking a shortcut doesn't always work. I highest a query and press CRTL+E a lot in SQL MS. I noticed that about half the time it would just overwrit…

No, I only have it using one core. Unfortunately I can't only open it when I need it at work, I use it throughout the day. I could easily just log into a server to do what I need to do, but using the VM is faster. If someone would release a good …

I bought a fastmac battery a long time ago but don't really like it. It works as expected but the construction (at least on the one I have) is far from the quality of an original battery. The metal on the back is a very thin (thinner that the apple …

I worked from home designing and maintaining web sites during college, this was my setup back then.

I would buy the blackberry sync application from MarkSpace I used it when I had a blackberry (pre-iphone days). In my opinion it worked much better than the one from the company RIM purchased. http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_blackberry.php

Is the application named exactly "System Preferences.app"? I believe the link in the apple menu has the path to that app hard coded, thus if it was renamed it wouldn't open.

I've had a lacie dvd burner (the lightscribe model) for a while now and it works great.

I have had two of the 2GB samsung chip in my MBP for a while now and love them (http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memor...ook/Pro/Core2/ ). By love them I mean I haven't had a problem;

To get a stock one and order a 200GB 7200 RPM drive from OWC and get the apple store or an apple authorized service provider to install it. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memor...ook/Pro/Core2/
